| Saturday the 29th March |
Another great day with a visit from Millars of Speyside. We played the TRENCHES, THE FORT and THE BUNKER. the TRENCH game was a Capture the flag. as soon as the game started a major attack from the red team kept the blues at bay. the reds soon got the flag and won, the only thing to spoil the reds victory was the fact they managed to wipe out two of their own team. we swopped sides and the blues quickly redeemed themselves with a strong offensive causing a lot of reds to quickly leave the field, they got the flag and return to their side of the trenches to win. Next we moved on to the FORT, reds attacked first and for the first minute didnt make much progress. however, they kept attacking, moving forward and more importantly they worked as a team and soon i started to see a steady flow of blues coming back to the safety area. with a final team assualt from the reds they took the FORT in 4.31. next it was the blues turn they unfortunately were just to slow at the start, and at one point i didnt think they were going to clear the FORT, then CAMMIE made his move and the reds quickly were overcome, but it still took the blue team 5.40 to take the FORT. Red team win. Then we moved to the dreaded BUNKER, believe me you got to go in there to understand. What followed next was two hard fought battles when the paintballs hit the metal walls of the BUNKER you know your being shot at when the dust settled reds had taken they day, but blues could keep their heads held high they might not of won but they had fought every step of the way! WELL DONE ALL a great days paintballing

| What a Great Day Out |
Another glorious Sunday at Moray Zap. A visit from one of THE most active paintball groups gave another great day's play. The first set of games consisted of everybody’s favourite game - the trenches. With the teams fairly evenly divided it was a close call as to who would get the upper hand here. The ASP Kickers Team were split between the two sides which gave a real cut and thrust to the match, but eventually a driving push down the flanks gave the red team a chance and even with an awesome display of defending the die was cast and victory went to the red team. The next set of games was played at the "Fort". After a frantic start, blue team pushed forwards trying to pick off the reds from all sides. Only a valiant display of defending prevented the blue team from snatching the first game in the opening minutes. There was plenty of exciting moments when it looked like the blues would find a weakness in the reds defence but the reds held on to win the first game. The second game was different; a blistering flanking attack left 3 of the defenders "painted" whilst a robust push up the centre by 2 ASP members left a hole in the defence. Outnumbered and surrounded the last remaining blue chose to surrender. Victory again for the reds. The last set of games was set in the bunker area. The teams had to use all their skill and luck to attack a bunker, penetrate it and remove the hard drive from the enemy battle computer. With stiff resistance the reds attacked first. They pushed forward and created a hole through which a "snatch team" entered the bunker complex. They located the hard drive and successfully removed it from the Communications Room. Unfortunately half the team was tagged exiting by a sterling blue defence. The remaining attackers then concentrated their paint on the defenders; with the hard drive in no-man's land the fire fight was amazing. There were only seconds on the clock when the last blues succumbed to some amazing shooting. A swap in defence and attack saw the reds using the available cover to great effect. Despite the valiant defence this game went down to the wire. A few blue players sneaked around to attack the rear entrance to the bunker whilst other blues pushed forward to capture the sniper nests and trenches. Slowly they picked off the red team until it became a race against time to capture the hard drive. Breaking through the red defences the blues surged into the bunker complex - only to be defeated by the clock! Unlucky blue team! Once again the site facilities were top drawer. The marshals were easily identifiable with their "super-hero" shields [used to help any player who has any difficulties - faster than a speeding bullet the Marshal would leap in and sort out any quibble! Many, many thanks to Iain and Stuart our Marshals for the day who provided first-class service through-out the day. This is a great day out, a great adrenaline rush and all at a great price. Well done Moray Zap! Now when can I play again . . . .?
